This document will cover how to set up Eloqua Analytic reports that provide insights into SMS messages that are sent out using the Sureshot Twilio SMS application.
What you will need:
- The name of the CDO that contains your Twilio Status records
- Add your Twilio SMS CDO to Insights reporting under CDO > Insight Setup
Ensure your CDO is available for use in Eloqua Insights
- Go to Custom Objects in your Eloqua instance
- Select Insight Setup > Custom Data Reporting Setup
- Select the CDO that contains your Twilio SMS data
- Click Include in Insight
- At that point, the CDO should appear in the left side under Custom Data Objects and will be available in Insights reporting
Steps to setup Eloqua Analytics report of SMS Messaging
- From your Eloqua account, go to Analytics > Insight
- Select Create > Analysis
- Select Subject Area > Contacts
- Navigate to Attributes > Contact > Contact Custom Data Object and then expand the CDO that contains your Twilio status records
- Drag any columns that you want to report on into the Selected Columns section. Some examples:
- Configuration (name of the app Configuration that was used to send the SMS message)
- Status
- Navigate to the Metrics folder and move the Total Contacts field into the Selected Columns section to provide a count of all records for the selected fields.
- In this example your setup should look like this:
- Go to the Results column to see the results
Filters
- If you want to add any filters in your report, drag the field that contains the filter into the Selected Columns field
- Click the Settings icon and select Filter
- Add the filter criteria that you wish to use
- Save your report for future use
